Sleep Appliance Insurance Coverage
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recognizes oral sleep appliances as the first line of therapy for mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), as well as an adjunctive therapy for people with severe sleep apnea or who are intolerant of a CPAP machine. As such, medical insurance companies generally provide a high rate of reimbursement. Remember, insurance payments are always subject to your plan’s specific policy guidelines.
